i was human
but i used to be perfect
and though i'm still human
i've become second best
what may be a mere demotion
highlights deficiency of devotion
and as I question
your secret thoughts and actions…
I start to question…
my own perception of perfection

For all the things deemed second best
May there be someone who sees in us perfection
And stays forever in devotion
But perhaps that’s too much to ask of humans.

ReplyDeletesomething that may not be perfect can be perfect in the eyes of the person who sees its perfection. but sometimes what you thought was perfect proves to be otherwise.
wouldn't it be good if something that was deemed perfect stays perfect forever?
whether is it universal perfection or own perception of perfection..it is still seeking for perfection by your own definition and expectations. Just my own opinion, but I have never use this word before..
